TIME IS COLOR is a boundary-breaking project blending jazz, hip-hop, and neo-soul, created and led by pianist, composer, and producer Cédric Hanriot—who has been invited by iconic jazz figures such as Herbie Hancock, Dianne Reeves, and Peter Erskine to participate in their projects, and whose career includes several Grammy Award-winning projects.

Led by an exceptional quartet, the project brings together Cédric Hanriot on piano and synthesizers, the Franco-Cameroonian singer Nunny—whose voice moves effortlessly between soul, spoken word, and rap—bassist Bertrand Béruard, and drummer Antonin Violot. Together, they deliver a concert that is at once powerful, organic, and resolutely contemporary.

Since its inception, TIME IS COLOR has established itself as one of the most talked-about projects on the new jazz scene. The albums have received two CHOC awards from Jazz Magazine, a 5-star review in BBC Music Magazine, were named among the 10 best albums of 2022 by MOJO Magazine, were featured on NPR’s “Jazz Night in America,” and were selected for Barack Obama’s Spotify summer playlist.
